About the Department
Bachelor of Computer Application(BCA) Course was started in 2012 in Chikkanna Government Arts College. Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 2016. UG course (3 Years) is running under the department successfully with full strength. Dr. G. M. Nasira, Associate Professor and Head is leading the department effectively. Five more Assistant Professors are working in department to enrich the students.
Course is affiliated to Bharathiar University. Apart from curriculum other extension activities , skill development programs and placement training are given to students regularly.
NSS and Sports students are always encouraged. Students are motivated to participate in various technical and non technical events organized by other colleges and inside the college. Discipline and Ethics are the highlighting practises followed by faculty members and students in the department. Alumni students were placed in reputed IT companies like wipro, TCS, Zoho and non-IT sector like HDFC, Bank, ICICI bank, Axis bank, Premier Cottons with good salary package. Alumnae’s are the ambassador of the BCA department. Department always aims to pave the path to the intellectuals.
