About the Department

The department of Business Administration of CGAC offers the academic programme “Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)” since 1st September 2017 and Master of Business Administration (MBA) since 13 September 2023. .

The department equips the students with the necessary techniques of successfully handling various business and management related issues. In addition, the department also aims at helping the students to work in teams, gain adequate values and develop their personality. The students of the department are exposed to various contemporary approaches of learning such as training, workshops, seminars, assignments, projects, case studies, brain storming, role plays and group discussions. The curriculum encourages each student to realise and capitalise their full potential and become ready to assume careers of their choice and come out with flying colours.
Philosophy and Commitment
The philosophy of the department is to educate and train the students with various skills of administration and management. The department is committed to inculcate adequate knowledge on the functional areas of management and make the students acquire wisdom to apply their knowledge constructively in their chosen careers of employment and entrepreneurship.
Objectives

BBA
Eligibility: A pass in Higher Secondary Education with accountancy and commerce
Duration of the Degree Programme: Three years with six semesters
Graduation requirements: Successful Completion and passing the core, allied and elective courses prescribed by Bharathiar University and securing the prescribed minimum CGPA

MBA

Eligibility: Pass in Bachelor of Minimum 3 Years Duration and should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
Admission:
Candidates who have appeared for TANCET and opted Chikkanna Government Arts College, Tirupur (College Code: 330) and thereby allotted to the MBA programme of the college in the General Counseling conducted by Anna University every year are admitted.  
Duration of the Degree Programme: Two years with four semesters
Post Graduation requirements: Successful Completion and passing the core, allied and elective courses prescribed by Bharathiar University and securing the prescribed minimum CGPA
