Propasal For Enhancing High Speed Internet Connectivity
A Proposal to sponsor, aid and help in enhancing Internet Connectivity at Chikkanna Government Arts College, Tiruppur has been received by the Rotary Club of Gandhinagar through the existing College Rotaract Club. The proposal outlines the fact that the existing dial up internet connectivity at college provided by BSNL is very slow as it provided by copper wires. As such, BSNL has come forward to provide a 10 mbps Optical Fibre High Speed Internet Leased Line to college at discounted rates, for which the college is in need of a Leased Line Router Internet Router which would cost approximately Rs. 40,000/-(Rupees Forty Thousand only). The concerned Professors at the college feel that this help if provided by their Patron Rotary Club of Gandhinagar Town would greatly enhance the teaching learning experience of the institution bringing down the digital divide among the student and teaching community in the Government Institution as well as aid in the higher education learning and research activities of the 2200+ students and 100+ teaching community of the college. The College intends to install the provided Router at the existing UGC Network Resource Centre presently managed by Rotarian Dr. S. Karthikeyan, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and a District Rotaract Co-chair (RI District 3202).
