The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its head Quarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.

NCC - CGAC
Senior Division NCC Unit Has Been Raised During 1971-72 With A Full Company Of 200 Cadets. The First ANO 2/Lt R. Swaminathan, Asst. Professor of Botany Who Have Undergone Pre-Commission Training Course Took Charge On 11 July 1971. The Second Ano 2/Lt O.Jeyabal, Asst. Prof. Of Economics, Attended Pre-Commission Training Course Took Charge On 29 November 1983. Ano 2/Lt S.Ramaiah, Lecturer in Commerce Completed the Pre-Commission Training Course And Took Charge On 20 February 1996 And Promoted As Lt As On 20 February 1999 And was served Till 29 December 2013. At Present Major. Dr. B.Kanagaraj, Assistant Professor in Commerce is serving as an Associate NCC Officer of the college.
