DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

The Department of History, established in 1969, is one of the oldest departments in the College. The department stands a witness to many a milestone crossed by the institution. The aim of the department is to provide high quality up-to-date knowledge of history and current affairs, stimulate social awareness in students through suitable exposure and inculcate a sense of responsibility and commitment towards society. The syllabus of the course is geared to equip students to face competitive exams like civil services, TNPSC.
